The Mid-America Conference of Clubs congratulates the Argonauts of Wisconsin on another successful Leather Run!

Held August 13–16, 2026, near Hilbert, Wisconsin, this year’s gathering once again brought members of the leather community together for a weekend of friendship, fellowship, tradition, and plenty of fun. From the warm hospitality to the energy throughout the weekend, the Argonauts created an experience that reminded us why leather runs have remained such an important part of our community for generations.

This year’s theme, “Back to the Farm,” was especially fitting as attendees returned to the Argonauts’ longtime run setting. The club also continues to invest in the property, with plans to improve accessibility and make other improvements to the barn so it can continue serving the community for years to come.

The weekend also included the Mr. Northwoods Leather contest, continuing another tradition connected to the Argonauts and the leather community of the Upper Midwest. We congratulate everyone involved with this year’s contest and thank those who continue to support leather titleholders and the traditions they represent.

The Argonauts themselves have an extraordinary history. Founded in 1974, the Green Bay-based organization has been part of Wisconsin’s LGBTQ+ and leather history for more than half a century. Through the decades, the club has organized social events, leather runs, contests and fundraisers while building connections that extend well beyond Wisconsin. The Argonauts have also been longtime members of the Mid-America Conference of Clubs, helping strengthen the relationships among leather and Levi clubs throughout our region.

Organizations such as the Argonauts remind us that our clubs are about much more than individual events. They preserve history, create spaces where people can find community, support charitable causes, welcome new generations, and maintain friendships that often span decades.

MACC sends a huge thank-you to the Argonauts of Wisconsin for an unforgettable weekend and for the hospitality shown to everyone who attended. We are grateful for the connections, laughter and memories created during this year’s Run, and we appreciate every club member, volunteer, attendee and supporter who helped bring the weekend together.
